What to Bring (Mid Year Showcase - Saturday 29th June 2024)

A reminder on all things related to the showcase for Saturday.

What to Bring

Shoes - All dance shoes that you need (Jazz shoes, Ballet Shoes & Sneakers or casual shoes for students in Musical Theatre 3).

Tights - Ballet tights for Ballet students. If you forget them we will provide your child with a new pair (unless you have not yet received your allocated uniform pair) and will process a charge to your account. No other genre needs tights.

Musical Theatre 3 – Students must bring their high school attire if they haven't already given it to us for their costume bags. Shoes or sneakers to match whatever they are wearing or they can wear Jazz Shoes.

Hair – Must be in a low bun slicked back with no wispy bits. For any student who doesn't have their hair done prior to arriving, we will provide the necessary kit and do their hair, but a $15 charge for the Hair Kit will be added to your account.

Food – Please ensure there is enough food and water for your child to get through the day. We will have a lunch break to ensure they are fuelled and ready for their moment on stage. No food deliveries can be accommodated.

Clothing – Please ensure your child's clothes are marked with their name on it. T-shirts, shorts, Ballet & Jazz shoes and even socks sometimes go missing and find new homes. We always try to ensure their belongings are contained but someone always goes home missing something.

Arrival time is 11am at the front doors of the Wellington Room which is facing the car park. Stage rehearsals will commence from 11:30am sharp as we have a lot to get through ready for the show at 1:30pm. The estimated time of finish is 3:00pm.

We are super excited and have everything else they need for the showcase.

Thursday 27th June

Mid Year Showcase - Saturday 29th June 2024

We are all starting to get a little excited about our Mid Year Show case as we finalise the last few bits and pieces. Please make note of the confirmed information below;

Location: Morley Recreation Centre, 12 Wellington Road Morley

Drop off location: Wellington Room Main doors (visible from the carpark)

Drop Off time: 11:00am

Hair:

Please have your students hair in a low bun with a small middle part at the front.
Please do not use bun donuts and no make up.
If you are unsure how to do a bun, please let me know and I can show you when you are next at the studio.
All fringes are to be slicked back with hair spray and or hair moose and no whispy bits.
This is all part of what we will need to do for the end of year concert, so its good to get a practise run in now and for the students to know what to expect 😊

Hair Boxes: We have Brown, Black & Blonde hair boxes that contain all the requirements to complete a secure bun. If you would like one please let me know, they are $15 and come in a case with the students name on them.

Stage Rehearsal: Commences at 11:30pm sharp as we are on a tight deadline

Food: Please ensure to pack enough food and water for your children as we will have a short lunch break in between the rehearsal and starting the performance.

Please note: No take away food will be accepted as your child’s lunch, as we cannot accommodate food drops to the venue.

Show commences: 1:30pm sharp. Doors will open from 1:15pm

This will certainly be an exciting experience for them and for you to watch them smile on stage!

Mid Year Showcase / Studio Performance Week -

Monday 24th June 2024 to Saturday 29th June 2024

We are preparing for the week of performances and want to ensure you know when and where.

Monday 24th June 2024 - At the Studio

3:40pm to 4:35pm – Classes required for this timeslot are rehearsing for the Mid Year Showcase are;

Acro Level 1
Ballet RAD PrePrimary
Ballet RAD Primary

4:40pm – These Classes will be rehearsing their skills they will be showing at the mini performance from 6pm are;

Acro Level 2/3
Contemporary (Rambert 1)
Jazz Petite
Ballet RAD Grade 1, 2, 5&6, Intermediate Foundation

6:00pm to 7:00pm – The Students will be showcasing their skills in a Mini Performance at the studio. All parents are welcome to come and watch.

** Academy Cadence will be required to stay until 7.30 for Classical rehearsal after the showcase. Parents are welcome to watch them rehearse.

Tuesday 25th June 2024 - At the Studio

3:40pm to 4:35pm – Classes required for this timeslot are rehearsing for the Mid Year Showcase are;

Jazz Mini
Academy Classical & Performers Prelude

4:40pm – The Classes will be rehearsing their skills they will be showing at the mini performance from 6pm are;

Acro Level 2/3
Contemporary (Rambert 1, 2 & 3)
Jazz Petite ext
Tap Level 1

6:00pm to 7:00pm – The Students will be showcasing their skills in a Mini Performance at the studio. All parents are welcome to come and watch.

Wednesday 26th June 2024 - At the Studio

3:40pm to 6:00pm – Classes required for this timeslot are rehearsing for the Mid Year Showcase are;

Acro Level 2/3/4
Acro Level 3/4 (Saturday Class)
Acro Level 5/6/7 (Saturday Class)
Ballet RAD Grade 2, 3&4 (Wednesday & Saturday classes)

6:00pm to 7:00/7:30pm – The Students will be showcasing their skills in a Mini Performance at the studio. All parents are welcome to come and watch.
